How To Prepare For Breast Augmentation?

The type of surgery and types of implants will be decided before the surgery. Dr. Abizer Kapadia will provide specific instructions about how to prepare for the surgery during the consultation.

How Is Recovery After Breast Augmentation Surgery?

Strenuous activities including exercise or lifting should be avoided for 6 weeks and should be resumed only after approval from Dr. Abizer.

In the case of breast augmentation surgery with implants –

After the surgery, for the first few days, patients are given painkillers and might be asked to wear a surgical bra or a compression garment to help control post-operative swelling and maintain the contours and results of the surgery.
It is advisable to do follow-up appointments to assess the overall progress as it may take up to six weeks for a patient to fully recover.
It is advisable for patients who get breast augmentation done using breast implants to get regular checks done with their surgeon post-surgery to check if there has been any rupture or displacement. In such cases, the implants would have to be removed or replaced.
