How To Prepare For Breast Augmentation?
- The type of surgery and types of implants will be decided before the surgery. Dr. Abizer Kapadia will provide specific instructions about how to prepare for the surgery during the consultation.
- He may advise you to undergo a few blood tests and a mammogram to avoid any complications and risks.
- In case you smoke, you will be asked to quit smoking for a time period prescribed by Dr. Abizer.

Breast Augmentation Dubai using Implants:
In this procedure, breast implants and breast lifts in Dubai are placed under the breast tissue or chest muscle. There are three types of implants placements:

Subglandular Placement:
Implant is put directly behind the mammary gland and in front of the muscle. -
Subfascial Placement:
Implant is put under the fascia but over pectoralis major muscle(chest muscle). -
Submuscular Placement:
Implant is put firmly behind the chest muscles or dual plane implants.
There are two types of implants:
- Saline-filled implants are those filled with sterile saline water.
- Silicone gel-filled implants are those filled with cohesive silicone gel.

The other and more natural method of breast augmentation is called fat grafting or fat transfer breast augmentation. This procedure involves taking fat from other parts of the body that store undesirable fat and injecting the same into the breasts by using the liposuction technique. This procedure of breast augmentation is considered more natural as it leaves almost no scars, does not involve any problems regarding implants, and the entire body gets reshaped. - After the surgery, for the first few days, patients are given painkillers and might be asked to wear a surgical bra or a compression garment to help control post-operative swelling and maintain the contours and results of the surgery.
- It is advisable to do follow-up appointments to assess the overall progress as it may take up to six weeks for a patient to fully recover.
- It is advisable for patients who get breast augmentation done using breast implants to get regular checks done with their surgeon post-surgery to check if there has been any rupture or displacement. In such cases, the implants would have to be removed or replaced.
In the case of breast augmentation surgery with fat grafting –
- Recovery time for fat grafting depends on the factor, which is, from how many body parts fat was transferred. Generally, the initial recovery takes 1-3 days and the complete healing process may take up to 1-3 weeks and patients are advised to avoid exercising and strenuous physical activities during this time.
Breast augmentation and breast lift in Dubai is a safe procedure and gives long-lasting results; however, it does not give immediate results as implants will take several weeks to settle into their ideal positions and in the case of the fat grafting method, there is a possibility of fat being reabsorbed, providing less enhancement or low projection.
